Square Enix, the company behind the rebooted Tomb Raider game that came out earlier this year, has confirmed that a sequel is already in the works and headed for the Xbox One and PS4.
"I am excited to reveal that we are well into development on a next-generation Tomb Raider sequel," said Phil Rogers, CEO for Square Enix in the Americas and Europe, in a blog post on the company's website.
He goes on to confirm that it will be a next-gen blockbuster.
The project has been hinted at before, but this it the first time anything official has been said by the company.
Tomb Raider rebooted the franchise back in March and is the biggest-selling game in the UK so far this year.
It saw a grittier, more raw Lara Croft who was shipwrecked on a remote island.
