Goodwood Festival of Speed to feature in Gran Turismo 6, great screens reveal all
The UK's annual festival dedicated to all things automobile is to be included in the forthcoming Gran Turismo 6 for PS3. It will feature the Goodwood Festival of Speed and, in particular, the famous Hillclimb course that car enthusiasts and celebrities drive during the real-life event.
The full retail version of the game will feature the course, while visitors to the actual Goodwood Festival of Speed which takes place this weekend, 12-14 July, will be able to play an exclusive demo of the game featuring the track. Sadly, there are no plans to release this demo on a wider scale, but you can still download and play the current GT6 demo which is available now on the PlayStation Network.
President of Polyphony Digital, Kazunori Yamauchi, is said to be a huge fan of the festival, hence its inclusion, and the development team has put every effort into making the backdrops - including Goodwood House and the enormous 2013 statue outside - as realistic as possible.
Certainly, the screengrabs from the track look amazing.
Gran Turismo 6 is scheduled for release on 24 November.
