Epson has launched a new compact projector that promises to give its users the big picture from a very short distance.Called the Epson EMP-400W, Epson claim the projector is able to deliver a clear and sharp focussed 60-inch picture at just 65cm from the projection surface.
Designed for business presentations rather than movie watching, the EMP-400W features an Epson exclusive Twin Optimised Reflecting Lamp (E-TORL) and can be networked for added ease of use and flexibility.
If users do opt to connect it to a network, they can then use Epson’s EasyMP network monitoring system that gives advance notice of any potential maintenance required, as well as emailing alerts directly to you.
The EMP-400W is a native WXGA resolution model at 1280 x 800 resolution, following the widescreen trend in laptop and desktop PCs.
Automatic 4:3, 16:10 and 16:9 aspect ratio detection is built in and the projector also includes built-in 10W speaker
Available this month expect to pay around £1200. Home Cinema, Projectors, Epson
