Samsung to reveal 5.7-inch Galaxy Note 3 at IFA 2013?

Samsung will reveal the Galaxy Note 3 at Berlin's IFA 2013 conference in mid-September, according to a new report.

Previous rumours have pointed to 4 September at a pre-IFA 2013 Samsung Unpacked event, but The Korea Herald, citing unnamed industry officials, has now claimed Samsung won't make the announcement before IFA. The South Korean newspaper instead reported that the Note 3 would arrive during IFA. The conference starts on 6 September and runs through to 11 September.

But, that's not all: the recent report contrarily suggested the Note 3 wouldn’t have a 5.9-inch display. It will allegedly sport a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with full HD 1,920-by-1,080-pixel resolution. Usually spot-on leakster Evleaks also previously tipped this screen size.

Such a size difference means the handset will appear closer to the Galaxy Note 2. This is an interesting transition, considering Samsung launched the Galaxy Mega earlier this year in both 6.3-inch and 5.9-inch displays.

Aside from the smaller screen size, other alleged specs for the Galaxy Note 3 include a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and LTE-Advanced 4G connectivity.
