Microsoft wants gamers to know it hasn't forgotten the Xbox 360, as the company has just unveiled a new Chrome Series controller for it...in gold.
If you’re someone who likes a bit of bling with your gaming experience then you may want to start saving for this standalone controller. It's shiny and wireless, and it offers the same D-pad as previous special editions. It also costs only $54.99 (£36).
Major Nelson said Microsoft would begin shipping its new gamepad worldwide this August, although it will be available only at GameStop and the Microsoft Store in the US. The new controller should certainly add some flare to Microsoft's aging console. And for those with a good memory, it should also remind you of the gold controller that came with the Kinect Star Wars Xbox 360 bundle from 2012.
Microsoft original unveiled the Chrome Series with transforming D-pads in 2012. Colors at launch included metallic blue, red and silver.
