TomTom unveiled two watches earlier this year for the sports-inclined, called Runner and Multi-Sport, and now the GPS-maker has put them on sale.
The $169.99 (£111) TomTom Runner has an 11.5-mm slim design, 10-hour battery life, heart rate monitor and a GPS locator. Other attributes include a scratch and impact-resistant display and weatherproof and waterproof casing. The watch also offers desktop syncing compatibility so users can share stats with the TomTom MySports website, MapMyFitness, RunKeeper and TrainingPeaks.
The $199.99 (£130) Multi-Sport has everything the Runner has, but it also features a bike mount, cadence sensor, altimeter and swimming motion sensor. The TomTom Multi-Sport will launch in the US later this month, but the TomTom Runner is available for purchase now.
Both watches from TomTom are an ideal blend of the Nike Fuelband and Garmin Edge - complete with classic watch functionality. They notably provide many specs and functions, such as indoor and outdoor tracking, vibration alerts, Bluetooth smart technology and one-button navigation, for a range of athletic activities like running, biking and swimming.
