During the opening keynote to Microsoft's Build developers' conference, CEO Steve Ballmer revealed that the Windows Store - accessible through the Windows 8 desktop interface - now offers 100,000 applications.
That doesn't include apps available for Windows desktop, but those specifically designed to run in the Windows 8 experience on tablet and PC.
Some of those highlighted by Ballmer include the Tesco shopping app and Where's My Mickey?, Disney's Mickey Mouse-starring sequel to Where's My Water? and Where's My Perry?
Those also to arrive soon include Facebook, Flipboard and NFL Fantasy Football - the latter of which being more specific to the US.
