Television news channel ITN has pushed out a redesigned iOS app to bring it in line with its new-look website. Available free on both iPhone and iPad, the app is more a wrapper for the video-heavy ITN website launched in July 2012.

ITN's older 2009 app for Android and iPhone will remain available, with the new version also being live on the App Store. There is no word on when it will get to Android.

The app itself is mostly video based, with a long scrolling list of footage grouped by different coloured tags and topics. Each topic will have another selection of video related to it and grouped within. There is also a handy weather and clock icon at the top.

April 2010 saw ITN launch its own Fashion focused 411 app as well as a YouTube channel to go along with it. The ITN news app just launched is a quick way of accessing all of ITN's video footage on smartphones.
