Spotify for Android adds playback from notifications menu - and "fictitious" telepathy controls

Spotify pushed an update to its Android app on Thursday that enables users to control playback from the notifications menu.

Just swipe down to reveal the notifications menu - and controls for skipping around Spotify's playlist will appear. The update also brought a pair of bug fixes that improve radio performance and Facebook login issues.

There's even a fictitious feature that enables users to control the app with telepathy. Seriously, it's in the change log on Google Play.

The latest version of Spotify for Android follows the service's recent Pink Floyd promotion, where Spotify said it would add Pink Floyd's extensive music collection after 1 million plays of "Wish you were here". That took only four days, and now Spotify users can enjoy Pink Floyd’s entire catalogue.
