Samsung Galaxy owners will enjoy a free download of Jay-Z's yet to be released "Magna Carta Holy Grail" album when it launches on 4 July. The download will be made available via a dedicated smartphone app, which will run on Samsung Galaxy S III, Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note II handsets.

The album download puts Samsung owners three days ahead of the rest of the world in terms of availability, which is a big deal for hip-hop fans. The app also provides behind-the-scenes footage of how the new album has been produced.

Samsung has created a rather cool video to show Jay-Z's recording process and help push out the special app. On top of this, there's a set of black and white photographs of Jay-Z on the special Magna Carta website.

The app will be launched on Google Play on 24 June, with the album download going live on 4 July. There is no word on the quality of the tracks, although we presume they will be 320kbps and pushed out via Samsung's own music app.
