Huawei confirmed the Ascend P6 in May via Facebook, where Richard Yu, the company's chairman, even dubbed it a "sweet spot". Now new information has added more fuel to the growing hype-flames.
The usually spot-on leakster @evleaks claimed on Tuesday that the P6 would boast a 4.7-inch 720p display, 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 8MP BSI rear-facing camera with a 4cm macro lens and a 5MP front-facing camera with a feature called Face Enhance.
The Android smartphone will debut at just 6.18mm thin, which aligns with previous reports, and it will sport Emotion UI layered on top of an unknown version of Android. The screenshots above depict Emotion and all its glory.
Earlier press shots of the Ascend P6 have revealed that it offers a metal body with a brushed appeal, as well as volume rockers on the right and a camera on the back positioned to the left with flash.
Huawei plans to launch its thinnest Ascend handset yet at a media event planned for 18 June. That is just a week away, so sit tight. We will be on-hand at the event come launch day.
