Halo: Spartan Assault brings the fight to Windows 8, Windows Phone 8 (video)

Halo: Spartan Assault has been announced, bringing the popular Xbox gaming world to Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8. 

Published by Microsoft Studios and developed by 343 Industries and Vanguard Games, Halo: Spartan Wars has been developed as an entirely new game in the Halo universe and built from the ground up to be played on Windows.

The top-down shooter is pitched at fans of the Halo games as well as casual gamers, but offering a premium gaming experience across devices. 

You'll get the chance to play through 25 missions in battles never seen before, with unique elements added to expand the Halo universe and experience, covering seminal missions for Spartan Ops, and focusing on the story of Sarah Palmer.

Designed to be played by touch, Halo: Spartan Wars brings a whole new gaming experience to the franchise.

Halo: Spartan Assault will be Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 only, as confirmed to us by 343 Industries, and will be landing in July 2013.
