Turtle Beach has is working closely with Microsoft in developing audio accessories for the Xbox One, it has announced. The gaming accessories manufacturer says it will be one of the first companies to launch Microsoft-licensed gaming headsets for the Xbox One.

While exact details are still to be revealed, presumably Turtle Beach will take its usual approach of a range of wireless headsets and cable connected options. Turtle Beach promises pricing and official product details will be announced in a few weeks' time, so presumably at E3.

"In Turtle Beach we have a partner that can help Microsoft deliver world-class gaming audio experiences to our customers," said Branden Powell, director of strategic alliances Xbox Hardware Group. "Turtle Beach has consistently innovated in wireless, surround sound and other features and we are looking forward to working with them."

The Xbox One features Wi-Fi Direct but exact Bluetooth specifications are still to be revealed. We hope the console has it inbuilt as this should negate the need for all the messy cables required to get a wireless headset working with the current generation Xbox.
