The Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3-inch smartphone will be coming to the UK in July priced at £459.99, according to online retailer Clove.

The news follows previous guesses that the phone would be arriving in the UK in mid-May, but that is now clearly not the case.

Sitting between the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 2, the Mega is a phablet in every sense. Samsung claims the new model, and it's smaller 5.8-inch version which isn't coming to the UK, "combine the portability and convenience of a smartphone with the power, multitasking capabilities and extensive viewing experience of a tablet". However, they don't come with an intelligent stylus, like the Note range.

With a 6.3-inch display the Galaxy Mega will not appeal to all, but might to those who don't want the option of a stylus as found with the Note range.

The Galaxy Mega 6.3 has a 1.7GHz dual-core processor, 3,200mAh battery, can be bought with either 8GB or 16GB of internal storage, and has 4G LTE data connectivity. Clove says it will be stocking the 16GB version.
