Belkin has launched a device which it claims can deliver 1080p cinema quality without wires.

The FlyWire comes with a transmitter and receiver, which use a 5GHz band frequency to transmit HDTV television content wirelessly.

Installation is said to be simple as users must simply sets up the Flywire transmitter (shown) to the DVD box, and then attach the receiver to the HDTV.

Both devices are compact so can easily be hidden in your home.

The FlyWire is planned for release in the summer for a price of between $499-599.
