CES 2008: Asus confirms Wimax Eee PC

Bigger screen sizes coming too

Asus has confirmed that its £212 laptop, the Asus Eee, will be coming in 7-, 8-, and 8.9-inch screen versions later in the year with Wimax support.

However, the company has stopped short of officially showing off the new laptop or detailing spec and price at a press conference with Sprint and Intel at CES in Las Vegas.

The new laptop will come with in a range of colours beyond the current black and white options and feature the same solid state drive and built-in camera.
