The phone codenamed the HTC M4 - although it will be changing its name before official release - has been the subject of a new leak. This time a press picture has surfaced which, if genuine, shows that the Taiwanese manufacturer is looking to capitalise on goodwill for the HTC One by transferring the design aesthetics to a more-affordable model.
It was previously rumoured that the HTC M4 would be coming this spring, but for that to be the case, the company would have to get a move on - it's May already. A far more likely time frame is the end of the second quarter of 2013, speculation that has been released with the pic.
The specifications for the mid-range handset were also leaked in February, with the phone said to have a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 4.3-inch 720p display, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, 13-megapixel camera and 1080p video recording, 1.6-megapixel front-camera, 1,700mAh battery, and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean running the show. The excellent HTC Sense 5, of course, is also expected.
PhoneArena, the site posting the picture, also says that the HTC M4 will have 4G LTE capabilities, but likens it to the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini.
