Jawbone has announced the Up Platform for iOS alongside 10 applications which now integrate with the Up app. The idea is that you can use Jawbone with some of your other favourite fitness apps alongside the Up's own iOS app.

RunKeeper and MapMyFitness can now both show workout data in the Up iOS app, including maps. You can even see how a previous night's sleep could impact on your run the following day. On top of RunKeeper, other fitness kit, like the Withings Smart Body Analyzer, will also import data into the Up app.

The app, which launches today as version 2.5, includes integration with IFTTT, LoseIt!, Maxwell Health, MapMyFitness, MyFitnessPal, Notch, RunKeeper, SleepioTM, Wello and Withings. Jawbone also intends to release the API for the Up, so that developers can put together new apps and tech for the fitness band.

For those yet to see it, Jawbone recently launched a revised version of its Up fitness band in the UK. Alongside Nike's Fuelband, it is one of our favourite activity trackers currently available. The added app integration should only make it better.
