CES 2008: Belkin Desktop Internet Phone for Skype launched

No need for a computer, but you'll still need a desk

Belkin has announced a new desktop internet phone for Skype users at this year's CES in Las Vegas.

The new phone, called the Desktop Internet Phone for Skype, will allow you to make free Skype Internet calls without having to turn on your computer will launch in March 2008 in the US, Canada, Europe, and Asia.

Features of the include a speaker, speed dial, call hold/release, call pickup/park, mute, redial, hold, call-timer display, and contact list with a contacts list that supports over 500 sets of Skype and SkypeOut contacts.

The new phone will cost around $99. No UK pricing has yet been given.
