Creative has confirmed the rumours of a new video conferencing device with the launch of the inPerson at CES in Las Vegas. Creative Announces a Breakthrough in Video Conferencing With inPerson.

The inPerson, which is only launching in the US is lightweight and wireless, and has a 7-inch screen for high-resolution video.

It will also be able to connect to a large flat panel screen, TV or projector for life-size high-resolution video presence according to Creative.

The inPerson measures only 7.5 x 6 x 1-inches and can be powered by battery or plugged into the wall via an AC adapter. Users will also get a remote control.

However at $699.99 plus a monthly service plan this won't be for granny wanting to talk to the grandkids on the other side of the world.

Businesses will also be able to hold multi-party conferences of up to four people, however creative has said this will also be an additional cost.
