Gmail for iOS updated with the ability to swipe between messages
The folks in Mountain View have updated their Gmail for iOS app, giving emailers a quicker way to access their boss's angry correspondence.
Now in version 2.1 of the Gmail app for both iPhone and iPad, it can be swiped left and right between conversations, doing away with any need to jump back into the main mailbox. It's a handy feature and will make going message-to-message a bit of an easier experience.
Additionally, the folks at Google have added betters ways to handle multiple messages at a time. Once you select a message in the inbox, you enter edit mode. You can select more messages and then can archive, delete and do more from the actions bar at the top of the screen. You can select cancel at any time to leave edit mode.
The update is available from the App Store, where you'll then be able to swipe to your heart's content.
