Wii U update coming April that will dramatically improve system loading times
A valuable system update is coming to the Nintendo Wii U in April that will primarily reduce the amount of time the console takes to load the main user interface.
It has often been cited by journalists and gamers alike that it can take an age to go from a game back to the menu system, and Nintendo has listened to those complaints.
The Japanese gaming giant has even released a video on YouTube that shows the difference in time between the current system software and the forthcoming updated one - and it's quite significant.
The new version will take approximately 20 seconds to load after quitting a game and pressing the relevant buttons, whereas the current software can take up to 20 seconds longer. It'll certainly make the experience a little less frustrating.
Nintendo is yet to reveal any other bug fixes or changes that will come with the new update. It will also be releasing a further system firmware update later this year, around autumn time.
