Buoyed by the success of its Ultrathin Keyboard Cover for iPad, Logitech has introduced two new cases with Bluetooth keypads to its range of accessories. The Logitech Keyboard Folio has a slightly beefed-up design to offer more protection, while the second is specifically sized for the iPad mini, aptly named the Keyboard Folio Mini.
Both models feature full-size keys for their respective devices, thereby eliminating the need to use the on-screen keypad, and they each come with a built-in hands-free flip stand.
They come in a wide range of colours and sport magnetic closure mechanisms to ensure they remain stable in transit. Each of the stands will also wake up and sleep their tablets when open and closed.
"Our goal with the new Logitech Keyboard Folio was to take the award-winning typing experience from the Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover and add an extra layer of protection," said Mike Culver, vice-president of brand development for tablet accessories at Logitech.
"To take the design a step farther, we combined Logitech’s expertise and experience in keyboards with high-quality materials to bring a sense of sophistication to the functional protection people want and need for their tablets."
The Logitech Keyboard Folio for iPad will be available from April for £89.99, while the Keyboard Folio Mini for iPad mini will cost £69.99 and be in stores from May.
