AT&T has announced that it will launch the BlackBerry Z10 on 22 March for $199 (£134).
The new BlackBerry flagship, running the company's brand new BlackBerry 10 operating system, has previously been limited to Canada and parts of Europe. Now expanding into the US, BlackBerry hopes it can capitalise on sales.
Verizon and T-Mobile are also set to offer the BlackBerry Z10 sometime this month, but have yet to make an official announcement. T-Mobile has technically announced availability already, but only to its customers as part of its business program, not its general customer base as of yet.
On AT&T, the handset will ship to customers and be available in retail stores on 22 March, for the typical $199 of a two-year contract. Customers who want to secure their spot can pre-order the handset on 12 March. According to BlackBerry CEO Thorsten Heins in February, BlackBerry Z10 sales have been better than expected. “In the UK, we have seen close to three times our best performance ever for the first week of sales for a BlackBerry smartphone," he said.
Canada's launch was also a record, according to the executive, however many analysts have noted that sales have since declined.
The BlackBerry Q10, the Qwerty-packing handset, is rumoured to be coming available stateside in mid-May.
Retailer Best Buy has also announced it will take pre-orders for the Z10 on 12 March.
