A new iPod speaker that has been designed to look like a ladybug has been launched at CES in Las Vegas.

Not surprisingly called the "Ladybug", the speaker is around five inches in diameter and the “wings” fold out and down to expose the dock and provide stereo imaging.

A centre channel subwoofer faces rearward to project and reflect detailed bass.

The speaker will be available in red and silver and cost around $110 when it goes on sale in the US later in the quarter.
