Sony is said to be continuing its attack on the mobile landscape with the introduction of the Sony Xperia SP at Mobile World Congress 2013.
XperiaBlog, who leaked out plenty of Xperia Z news at the start of the year, says the Xperia SP will be power by a 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 4.6-inch display running at 720p, 8-megapixel rear-camera, 8GB of internal storage, and room for expandable memory.
Those specs put the SP as a mid-range handset and the same size as late-2012's Xperia T. Overall build quality is said to be aluminum with a plastic back, weighing in at a heavy 155 grams.
Expanding off its 2012 Xperia line, Sony may feature a customisable transparent bar on the Xperia SP at the bottom that can be tailored to light up with certain notifications.
Sony has started 2013 with the the sleek Xperia Z flagship and Xperia ZL. While it doesn't have an official press event at Mobile World Congress 2013, XperiaBlog says we'll see the company show off the Xperia SP to bolster its mobile line up.
Pocket-lint will be hitting the show floor to bring you the latest.
