Apple has caught up with demand for the iPad mini, which peaked during Christmas season 2012. After more than a month and a half, Apple and manufacturing partners are now cranking out enough to ship to customers instantly on many online stores worldwide.
According to the company's online store, the 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB models of the iPad mini are now listed as "In Stock" - a relief from the one to three business days that has been listed since mid-January.
On the company's first-quarter conference call, CEO Tim Cook talked about the impact of supply and demand. In some instances, the company can't push out enough devices to meet customers' needs, and that appears to be the case here.
Now that Christmas sales are out of the picture, the company has caught up. Peter Oppenheimer, Apple CFO, said on the conference call that iPad mini continued to ramp up and become more efficient and cost-effective.
The UK version still sits at "Dispatched: 1 - 3 business days" but we suspect it will be updated soon.
