Apple releases iOS 6.1.2 with Exchange calendar bug fix

Apple has pushed iOS 6.1.2 to the iPhone, iPod, and iPad in an attempt to squash bugs that were brought about in iOS 6.1.

According to the release notes straight out of Cupertino, iOS 6.1.2 "fixes an Exchange calendar bug that could result in increased network activity and reduced battery life".

The Exchange bug was widely reported as one of the underlying issues causing iOS devices to run out of battery quickly and at a hot temperature since being updated to iOS 6.1.

Additionally, the lockscreen security vulnerability found in iOS 6.1 hasn't been fixed, according to ArsTechnica. Apple has promised an update to terminate the issue.

The 107MB update is available for iOS devices in an over-the-air update. Let's hope it doesn't bring along any new bugs.
