The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on PC will look better than games on the PS4 and Xbox 720, according to its developers.

A Witcher fan asked developer CD Projekt Red via Twitter which next-gen system would see the game look best. The developers replied with PC as the answer.

For those without a gaming PC, CD Projekt added: "We hope that you will enjoy the console version, then."

The Witcher 3 is pegged for a 2014 release, which in all likelihood means it will be turning up on next-generation platforms.

The previous game, the Witcher 2, was graphically stunning and pushed all but the best of PCs to their limits.

Apparently the game world will be 20 per cent larger than that of Skyrim, use no loading screens and feature no story chapters. Sound next-gen enough? Just take a peek at the screenshots posted by GameInformer last week and you should get an idea.
