Sony NEX-3N image leaked, alleged to be the real deal

A picture of what looks to be the much-rumoured Sony NEX-3N compact system camera has appeared online, showing little of the device itself but revealing a couple of interesting details.

Sent to Sony Alpha Rumors by an "anonymous source", the picture shows the top of the camera which the site was informed features a 16-megapixel sensor much like the Sony NEX-F3. However, there is a zoom control button on the 3N, which is claimed to drive the 16-50mm PZ and 18-200mm PZ lenses.

It doesn't look at all like the Sony NEX-3 released a couple of years ago. Or the NEX-5N, for that matter.

That's about your lot for now. Sony Alpha Rumors also speculates that Sony could unveil the NEX-3N during or around the same time as its PlayStation 4 press launch - 20 February - something we think is highly unlikely for a couple of reasons. First, the press launch is being held by Sony Computer Entertainment, a subsidiary of Sony. And second, it would get lost among the landslide of content that a new console will generate.

Of course, it all depends on whether the picture is genuine or not. We'll leave that for you to decide.
