We were pretty impressed with the Lenovo ThinkPad Helix during our brief hands-on time with it at CES 2013. The laptop-meets-tablet, priced at a solid $1,500, was originally slated for a February launch, but that's now not the case, according to Lenovo.
A post on the company's official Facebook page reveals the product will be delayed until March or April and that "more details will be announced soon". That news is certainly a bummer for customers who wanted to get a little tablet/laptop joint action going.
As a reminder, the Helix can act as both a full laptop and a tablet, packing the options for an Intel Core i3, i5 or i7 processor, configurable with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD storage. Full Windows 8 runs on the 11.6-inch Full HD screen at 1920x1080 pixels -- certainly not a bad combo if you ask us.
More as we get it. In the meantime, check out our hands-on.
Could the delay turn customers to the upcoming Surface Pro or Sony Duo?
