Samsung has proved itself as a major player in the consumer electronics space, not only with mobile handsets, but in the living room with its television sets.
According to Samsung President BK Yoon, Samsung is on a roll.
"Three Samsung TVs are sold every second," Yoon said, while speaking at the Samsung EU Forum in Monaco. "And in 2012 we made $184bn in sales. We invest $9bn every year in R&D to develop the next big products."
Three TVs every second is an astronomical amount when you think about it and shows Samsung is very serious in the space. Even better, Samsung launched a new line of televisions at CES 2013 that is sure to get it going for the year.
Additionally, Samsung plans to set its gears into the home appliances sector, reports Tech Radar. Samsung announced a new eco bubble washing machine, fridge and robotic vacuum cleaner.
The Navibot CornerClean features a new Pop-Out Brush technology and "Samsung Visionary Mapping Plus" to better clean a room and take on the Roomba. No word on pricing or availability.
