A new version of HTC's flagship Droid DNA is tipped to be released at Verizon Wireless. With the upcoming announcement of the HTC M7 later this month, this could very well be Verizon's version.
Twitter user @LlabTooFeR, who has been spot-on with HTC handset news in the past, reports on supposed specs for the new handset.
It reportedly goes by the codenamed "DLXPLUS", carrying the same "DLX" naming as the original Droid DNA. It features a 1.7GHz Qualcomm APQ8064 processor, 4.7-inch 1080p display, 13-megapixel rear-camera, 2.1-megapixel front-camera, 2GB of RAM, Bluetooth 4, Wi-Fi, SD card support, Android Jelly Bean, and Sense 5.
Specs for the DLXPLUS sound very similar to the rumoured HTC M7, which is tipped for release on every carrier stateside. As we reported, the handset will feature a 13-megapixel camera made up of 4.3-megapixel sensor layers combined to give a resulting single image and will come in white and black.
Given the specs and timing, this could very well be the M7 slated for Verizon, or simply the next-generation Droid DNA.
We'll keep you posted.
