ZTE is next to hop on the Android tablet bandwagon with its just-announced V81 8-inch Jelly Bean slate. The new tablet, which was revealed ahead of MWC, comes with a 1024 x 768 resolution screen and a 1.4 GHz dual-core processor to keep Android 4.1 Jelly Bean ticking over.

On the back of the tablet is a 2-megapixel snapper and on the front a 0.3-megapixel option. The whole tablet is powered by a fairly decent 3700 mAh battery.

The1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage have the memory department covered, with the usual microSD slot expandable up to 32GB in case you need more space. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are naturally included. The tablet also supports HSPA.

The really exciting bit about the V81 is its inclusion of full USB and HDMI slots, making it a handy media player. The tablet is also fairly portable at 200 x 156 x 11.07mm in size.

ZTE posted pics of the new tablet on its website, presumably with plans to roll out the hardware at MWC. Pricing and availability still haven't been announced.
