Further hints point to 128GB version of the fourth-generation iPad
Apple is set to announce another fourth-generation iPad to its line-up, thought to be a 128GB model.
Mark Gurman of 9to5mac, a very solid source for Apple leaks, reports that a SKU has been discovered for a new iPad model, but notes it is a fourth-generation, not an entirely new design. It reportedly comes in both black and white and Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + Cellular.
Over the weekend, developers spotted references to a 128GB iOS device model of some sort within iOS 6.1 beta 5 code that is currently available on the Developer Center awaiting public release.
9to5mac notes that it's not positive that the new version of the fourth-generation iPad is the 128GB model, but "seems likely, based on the evidence". It is said to be $799 for the WiFi-only model and $929 for Wi-Fi + Cellular.
As for the fifth-generation iPad, Jeremy Horwitz of iLounge reported that it is code named J72 and is slated for an October release -- around the same time frame as the release of the original line of fourth-generation iPads.
