As we await the arrival of the rumoured BlackBerry Z10 at the end of January, little information has been shared about pricing. But according to a new leak, it will be £30 less than an unlocked iPhone 5.
Engadget obtained an internal screenshot of the phone listed off-contract and SIM-free (unlocked) for £480 (or $750 USD) at Carphone Warehouse. The model number BLAZ10WHI matches up with previous leaks.
RIM is set to officially unveil its BlackBerry 10 operating system and the first two devices that will carry it on 30 January in several countries around the world.
BlackBerry 10 and the BlackBerry Z10 have already been completely exposed by several leaks online. The touchscreen Z10 - with the BlackBerry X10 being the Qwerty keyboard-touting phone of the launch duo - has a 4.2-inch display. The 1280 x 768 pixel resolution is pretty impressive, giving 355ppi so it should be nice and sharp, and it's powered by a dual-core 1.5GHz OMAP 4470 processor with 2GB of RAM.
Prospective carriers to host the handsets have leaked worldwide in recent months, with all the major networks confirming in the UK, T-Mobile, Verizon, and AT&T in the US, and Virgin Mobile in Canada possibly hosting at least some of the six devices RIM plans to roll out over 2013.
Pocket-lint will be covering the event live on 30 January, bringing you the latest as it happens.
