Sony Entertainment Network rolls out to North America and Brazil
Sony has rolled out its Sony Entertainment Network to customers in North America and Brazil, after being available in Europe since December 2012.
In an attempt to catch-up with the Xbox's media capabilities, the Entertainment Network offers a storefront for users to purchase games, movies, TV shows, game add-ons, and more right from the web.
The content is downloaded to a Playstation device, but has to be manually triggered for download from the "My Downloads" folder.
Sony Xperia smartphones, tablet, and Windows-based PCs can also watch purchased movies and TV episodes from the Media Go app.
Users are able to pay for the content and games in the usual methods once they've signed in, such as with credit cards or PayPal.
