LG has announced that the 4.7-inch Optimus G has reached 1 million sales in Korea, Japan, Canada, and the US after almost four months of availability.
To continue adding sales to its flagship, LG plans to release the Optimus G in several European countries and China in Q1, even with rumours of the Optimus G2 being unveiled at Mobile World Congress.
The LG Optimus G features a 4.7-inch (768 x 1280) True HD IPS Plus Display, 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 quad-core processor, 16GB of memory, 16GB microSD card, LTE, 2GB of RAM, 13-megapixel rear-shooter and 1.3-megapixel front-shooter.
Specs for the Optimus G Pro also leaked recently, are said to feature a 5-inch Full HD screen, 1.7GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and a whopping 3,000mAh battery. Rumours point to a Japan launch.
LG also announced that its smartphone sales reached 7 million in the third quarter, beating the previous high of 6.2 million, reports Yonhap News.
We wonder how much the Nexus 4, that some consider an Optimus G lookalike, played a factor in both the Optimus G and quarterly sales?
