The Liquid Image Digital Underwater Camera is aimed at those who want to snap underwater but don't want to splash the cash on really expensive camera kit.

Costing around the $100 mark this mask lets you record both video and still images thanks to the upto 5-megapixel camera that's just above the goggle lenses.

The lenses are complete with crosshairs that help you focus your underwater shots and images are recorded to the internal 16MB memory, or to the external microSD card slot.

The shutter press is located on the top of the goggles, so as you see something you want to capture you simply push the button.

There's USB hook up too and it's powered by AAA batteries for easy swap out powering up out and about.

We think they are quite an innovative, hands-free solution for casual underwater photography, hit the link below for more info and sample shots.

  • Ok, so they are touting this as a mask for snorkeling and SCUBA diving, but is it really??? I love the idea, and really was interested in buying one, but then I realized that they are only rated to a relatively shallow depth. Maybe it would work for snorkeling but it seems that is would not work well for most SCUBA divers who are regularly surpassing the rated depth of 10m. It seems to me that this thing is better suited for in the pool use! Posted by Chris, USA

  • I just got one and its pretty good. pic res is good and the mask itself works well.
i use it in the Kapoho tidepools so i have not taken it too deep yet but i am satisfied with the results.
