Simualcast sees "In Rainbows" debut

Keeping up their current cutting-edge tech status, Radiohead will perform an hour-long set that will premiere New Year's Eve on TV and the internet at the same time.

The mini-concert will air on Current TV and Current.com starting 5am (UK time) on the 31st of December, and will be repeated three times throughout the next day.

The concert is to showcase Radiohead's latest album, "In Rainbows", the CD version of which will go on sale in shops next week.

This was the album that propelled Radiohead into the tech news spotlight as they offered it online first via a pay as much as you'd like download basis.

The results of the free market experiment have been judged as mixed, with some reports suggesting the average downloader paid nothing for the album.
