Braven has announced three new speakers at CES in Las Vegas, including one designed to be kicked around a bit.
All three new speakers will come with internal batteries and connect to your smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth, saving you the hassle of dealing with wires.
At the top of the pile is the new Braven 850, a much bigger desktop speaker which measures a foot long.
Four times the size of the flagship Six Series (for those who can visualise that), the new speaker - due later in the year - is made with aircraft-grade aluminium housing and comes with the ability to be paired wirelessly with another Braven 850 for left and right stereo. If that were not enough, you'll also be able to turn it into a charging station for a tablet or smartphone. It will be available at $299.99.
The Braven 570 is aimed at those who want in, but don't have the big bucks to spend. Costing just $119.99 the new speaker is basically the Braven Six Series but without the metal case and with a slightly smaller battery. This time around you get a coloured plastic housing and 10 instead of 12 hours of battery life from a single charge.
Those who want to go tough, however, can now opt for a completely new speaker from Braven, the BRV-1 (lead image). Splash and drop-proof, the new speaker certainly looks the part and after a quick listen on the show floor. The Braven BRV-1 will be available in February 2013 at $169.99.
