Sony has launched a circular designed DVD camcorder, the Sony DCR-DVD7E that will allow users to shoot your footage straight to DVD for instant play back in any DVD player.
The round body features a 2.5in LCD monitor on the back face of the camcorder, which it seems you are expected to hold like a digital camera.
The DCR-DVD7E will cost approx £600 and is in the shops from today.
Key features of the Sony DCR-DVD7E include a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar Lens, 10x optical zoom and the ability to record directly to DVD. Formats supported by the new Sony DVD Handycam are DVD-R, DVD-RW and DVD+RW for direct recording and DVD-RW and DVD+RW for rewriting
