It's being reported that Twentieth Century Fox and Apple are about to announce a new partnership.

The deal between the two companies will apparently see Fox movies available on a rental basis via iTunes.

With the new iTunes offerings, viewers will be able to rent the latest Fox DVD releases by downloading a digital copy from iTunes for a "limited time".

As well as the virtual rentals, Fox will sell content through iTunes too, and is also said to be working on DVDs that have Apple's DRM system so that consmers can legally rip a copy of the disc to play on a Mac and transfer to an iPod.

Revealed by the Financial Times, it's thought that this might be officially announced by Steve Jobs, Apple's CEO, during his keynote speech at January's MacWorld event.

As a result of this news, and other exciting annoucements expected at Macworld, Apple shares hit the $200 mark for the first time on Wednesday.
