TomTom has updated its iOS satnav application so that it better suits the screen of the iPhone 5 and fifth-generation iPod touch.
Version 1.12 of TomTom Navigation for iPhone and iPad now works perfectly with iOS 6, is optimised for iPhone 5 so shows a larger map on the elongated screen real estate, and has the latest maps. The new edition of the app also works with Apple Maps, so if you find a location in the phone's own map service (if you're lucky, fnar), you can select TomTom as the routing app, which starts guiding you there immediately.
Other features to TomTom Navigation include offline maps, IQ routes, HD Traffic compatibility, speed cameras and a powerful search engine. You also get lifetime map support, which means you'll never have to pay extra for the latest map updates.
TomTom apps are available for a number of different countries, and start at £39.99. TomTom Europe, for example, is £69.99. Visit the dedicated section on iTunes for more information,
