Disgo has announced its latest budget tablet, the Disgo Tablet 9000. It sits under the company's Disgo 9104, and will give you a 9.7-inch tablet experience for £149.99.

The Disgo Tablet 9000 has a 9.7-inch capacitive display with 1024 x 768 resolution, giving you a pixel density of 131ppi, which is a little on the low side, so it won't be hugely sharp.

Internally you have a 1GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and the Mali 400 GPU to handle the graphics. It isn't the most powerful loadout around, but that's to be expected at lower prices.

You get 8GB of storage built-in, but you can expand this via microSD with up to 32GB cards supported. The tablet measures 243 x 190 x 12mm.

It comes running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, although we notice that the press information details that it comes with the Slide ME store as well as access to "Disgo apps", presumably in the absence of Google Play.

Elsewhere the Disgo 9000 offers a 7000mAh battery, which the company claims is good for five hours of use - a little on the low side by modern standards.

There is a 2-megapixel camera on the rear and a 0.3-megapixel camera on the front. There is a mini HDMI so you can move content on to your TV for viewing, along with Wi-Fi b/g/n.

The Disgo 9000 can be yours for £149.99 from PC World and Currys, right now.

The Android experience isn't going to be as complete as you'll find on the 7-inch Nexus 7, which is only £10 more, with double the internal memory, so if you're in the market for an affordable Android tablet, you might want to consider the Asus-made tablet in your selection too.
