Microsoft to reward longest Xbox Live users with limited-edition not-for-sale Xbox

Microsoft will say thank you to a select few who have been gaming on the Xbox Live service for the past 10 years with a special limited-edition Xbox 360 console.

"I can confirm we’re surprising some of the #Xbox LIVE members that have been with us the longest with one of these," said Larry Hryb, aka Major Nelson, the director of programming for the Microsoft gaming network Xbox Live. Hryb said further details would be announced later in the week.

It is not sure who exactly will be eligible for the new, exclusive Xbox, or whether the deal will be available in just the US or around the world including the UK.

What we suspect is that you will probably have had to be a signed up Gold member since day one, or when it started on the original Xbox, and that you've spent a lot of time on the service.

We will keep you posted.
