Sony is soon to release its System Software version 2.0 for the PS Vita handheld gaming console, and with it will come compatibility with PlayStation Plus membership.
From 21 November, existing and new PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to get massive discounts on PS Vita downloadable games and access to top titles for free. And, as a launch incentive, one of the games that will be available to members from day one will be Uncharted: Golden Abyss.
Others in the Instant Game Collection will include Gravity Rush and Chronovolt. Members will have access to four games a month, and Sony promises a "multitude of other perks", including 1GB of online save game storage and free play.
The membership covers both PS Vita and PS3, so subscribers will have free access to more than 65 titles combined. And the service will also synchronise trophies and game saves across devices.
Subscriptions range from £11.99 a month to £39.99 for an entire year when bought up front.
