There's no rest for the wicked, or so they say, as the launch events rumbled on in force in the last week. Microsoft finally set free Windows Phone 8 and detailed a swathe of new handsets that will carry its flag.
Google, not put off by the postponement of its New York press conference due to Hurricane Sandy, also announced the Nexus 4 handset, Nexus 10 tablet and 32GB versions of the Nexus 7, with and without 3G.
Oh, and Disney pulled off the biggest shock in modern cinema by announcing its acquisition of Lucasfilm, announcing a new Star Wars film in the process. Crikey.
Editor of news and former Gamesmaster telly bloke Rik Henderson, Stuart Miles, owner of Pocket-lint and go to guy for the BBC and Sky when they need someone to talk about tech, and editor of features Dan Sung are the Linters discussing the hot topics this week.
