Samsung Galaxy S III Mini UK release date: 8 November

Samsung has confirmed that its Galaxy S III Mini smartphone will be available from 8 November. Previously, Phones 4u said it was coming on 2 November, but has now changed its delivery date for pre-ordered phones.

The new, small handset - a sort-of hybrid between the inner tech of a Galaxy S Advance and the design flair of the Galaxy S III - will come with free content pre-installed, including games The Sims 3 and Bejewelled 2.

It comes with a 4-inch AMOLED touchscreen, Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) from the box, and all of Samsung's services and user interface, including Touchwiz, S Voice, and Kies Air (for wireless connection to Kies).

A dual core 1GHz processor runs the show, along with 1GB of RAM, and the Mini sports a 5-megapixel camera on the rear, with autofocus and LED flash. A standard definition webcam is on the front for video calling.

Both 8GB and 16GB versions will be available, with a microSD card slot capable of expanding that by a further 32GB. And there's an FM radio tuner, if that's your sort of thing.

A 50GB Dropbox cloud storage account is also on offer, which will be free for two years.

Prices will be dependent on networks, of which all major ones will be stocking the smartphone. Both white and blue versions will be available, with the latter currently listed as coming later.
