A Boston resident, Ranjit Bedi, has filed a class-action lawsuit accusing hardware maker HP and office supply retailer Staples of working together to artificially inflate the price of printer ink cartridges.

According to the suit, that sees the two companies in violation of federal antitrust law, HP allegedly paid Staples $100 million not to stock cheap third-party ink cartridges.

Bedi's suit asks for unspecified damages and an injunction barring the two companies from engaging in anticompetitive business practices in the future.
